Kidney disease!!

Hi,

We went to the vet with Fifi today and she has kidney disease. Both her kidneys are twice the size they should be. She has tablets although they are meant for dogs usually as thy don't have anything to help her. We have to check how much she drinks and weighs. Has anyone else experienced this? Anything that can be done to help?
Please help.
